The story of aBra4Me began with one woman’s deep understanding of a need too often overlooked: the importance of a properly fitting bra. At just 17 years old, founder Jackie entered the lingerie industry not with a business plan, but with curiosity, drive, and a genuine passion for helping women feel their best.

From her early days at LuLu’s Lingerie and Bra World in Troy, Michigan, to becoming a buyer across multiple stores, Jackie learned the industry from the inside out. She earned two college degrees while climbing the retail ladder—equipping herself with both the education and experience to eventually launch something greater.

Growing with You — From Local Shop to Online Leader

By the early 2000s, the retail world was shifting rapidly. aBra4Me was ready. What started with the launch of BraWorld.ws in 2001 quickly evolved into something more dynamic. The name aBra4Me was introduced in 2007 to match the now-familiar customer phone line (866-a-Bra-4-Me), and by 2010, Jackie made a bold move: taking the entire business online.

The decision to close the brick-and-mortar locations and focus entirely on e-commerce wasn’t just forward-thinking—it was personal. It was about meeting women where they are, whether in their homes, offices, or on the go. The mission stayed the same: to make every woman feel seen, supported, and understood.

Setting the Standard for Inclusive Fit

If there’s one thing we’ve learned in 40 years, it’s that no two bodies are the same—and no woman should ever feel like her shape doesn’t belong.

Long before the lingerie industry prioritized inclusive sizing, aBra4Me was expanding its offerings beyond what was considered “standard.” When DDD cups were rare, we were already working to source bras in sizes that truly represented real women. Today, we’re proud to carry bras up to M and O cups and bands well beyond the average range—ensuring everyone can find a fit that’s not only functional, but flattering and empowering.
